About Me

My name is Stacy Atkins and I am from West Virginia in the USA. I have a degree in Social Studies Secondary Education with a minor in History, but I am currently an office manager at an accounting firm and LOVE my job and my work family.

I am happily married to this guy:

Xerxes (the Prince of Purrsia) is a professional photo-bomber and decoration destroyer so you will see him in most pictures.

We obtained our home in August 2010 and it is a constant battle to get it how I like it, but decorating and re-decorating is tons of fun! If you look around the site I have some pictures of our changing home and you'll note that a lot of our furniture is free stuff that I have painted.

Writing

I have recently started writing again and joined a local writing group that I did NaNoWriMo with this year ( http://nanowrimo.org/ ). I did Camp NaNoWriMo in July 2014 and won with over 62k words; then won again in November! I'm hoping to have a devoted writing section on my blog with shorts from writing prompts soon!

Other Stuff

I keep myself busy between video games, writing, decorating, and baking. I've been playing games since I was able to use our Atari's joystick, but I have dropped off from most games in recent years. I mostly just jump between World of Warcraft (US Servers: Kul Tiras-Alliance & Bladefist-Horde) and Sims lately though.  

My internet handle is Serestia so you may see posts and such by me elsewhere under that name. I came up with it in my teens and have been using it ever since. Though it has been yoinked as well by a few different people so Googling it no longer brings up me exclusively. 

We don't have cable, but I enjoy a number of shows on Netflix and other services when I have the time (Doctor Who, Sherlock, Broadchurch, Ripper Street, etc.)


That's pretty much all about me. Boring I know, but we can't all have epic lives.

Also, I am constantly wanting to improve the look of my page, so if you want to get your name out there as a web designer, I would gladly be your lab rat if you want to make me a site layout! I am not very artsy on the computer so it is rather bland.
