Quick Notes

I'm alive. I've just had nothing to write about.

Today was an incredibly busy (and cold) day. I sat freezing at my parents' house for their yard sale and sold two pairs of my shoes then hustled to help set up for a Baby shower. Once I set up my platters and helped with the prep work I turned into a rogue and vanished. Came home and worked on my tankadin #2 on WoW then went back to help clean up. I'm glad it was a success and hope the mother was thrilled with her gifts and to see her loved ones.

Outside is very cold (44 degrees!). My house is not much warmer. Our heater acts like it is on, but nothing is coming out of the vents. And of course our home warranty ran out in August. We are debating what to do at this point. Do we renew the warranty and have another bill every month? ($44/month) Do we look for someone to do an estimate and hope it's not too much?
Or do we shiver by space heaters (after getting space heaters) and hope we don't freeze to death?

On a more positive note, I was very happy though to step on the scale Thursday and see that I had lost more weight. I've lost a total of at least 26.6lbs so far! Which means I will be even colder this winter... huzzah?

I hope to have some more really great news within the next couple of weeks too. I would be immensely happy if so and you'll all know about it!

Losing. In a good way

As some of you know (maybe 1/2 of the less than 10 people who look at this), I started dieting with a friend at the end of June. While she wasn't pushing me to do it, I felt more motivated knowing someone else was going through it. We've made waitresses and family a little frustrated when making dinner plans and whipping out our phones to check, add up, and research calories, but we are both pretty please so far, despite the ups and downs. If it had not been for her, I probably would not have had as much motivation.

This is a picture of my husband and I at the Pumpkin Festival in 2009. This would have been a great picture if only the top half was there. I loved it, but was so disappointed in the way I looked I didn't even want to look at it. I cropped my copy of it to only show from my arm up.

These are pictures of me a few days ago.

I have lost about 22 lbs (give or take because I didn't have a working scale at first).

I bought pants that are 2 sizes smaller and skirts that are 3 sizes smaller and they still have a lot of give in them. I had to buy new shoes that are 1/2 size smaller.

I'm over 1/2 way to my current goal, but will set another after it is reached. I just wanted to take some time to thank all the patient helpful people who have been supporting me so far.

Wednesday Whoopsie-Daisy

So I realized while showering that I forgot to post a blog today. I had planned to do it on my lunch, but forgot. Tsk Tsk, I know.

Instead of posting a blog according to schedule, I have decided to post something completely different.
My friend and I have started a weight-loss plan and frankly, it's annoying. I realize dieting is not easy, but figuring up calories and measuring things is more annoying than not being able to eat whatever I want, when I want. Math is certainly not my strong point.
We are both using the website and app for Lose It! which is pretty darn handy.

To make up for my inability to post properly and to get into the habit of using my Wacom drawing tablet, I give you, a picture I just drew.

This is the typical fly on the wall view of our office. One downfall of having desks right next to each other is that I am very paranoid/uncomfortable when I think of Chris looking at my screen. It's not that he's critical and I'm not doing anything wrong and half the time he's not even looking at the screen... It's just utter paranoia.
